National polling released over the weekend shows Bernie Sanders leads as the next choice of Pete Buttigieg supporters as the moderate from Indiana dropped out of the race on Sunday.

According to a Morning Consult poll released Friday, 21 percent of Buttigieg supporters said Sanders was their second choice.

19 percent said they would support Joe Biden and Elizabeth Warren, while 17 percent would vote for Michael Bloomberg.

While Buttigieg’s voters fairly evenly split between candidates, the poll challenges the notion that most of his supporters would line up behind Joe Biden heading into Super Tuesday.

Elizabeth Warren is at risk of losing her home state on Super Tuesday. Should the Massachusetts Senator drop out of the race this week, 40 percent of her supporters say they would vote for Sanders.

The Morning Consult poll of 13,428 Democratic primary voters was conducted between February 23 and 27.
