Bernie Sanders has received his biggest union endorsement yet, from an organization that represents about 700,000 workers nationally.
The Communications Workers of America will announce its endorsement of Sanders at a news conference at 11am Thursday morning at its offices in Washington, DC. CWA will be the largest union to endorse Sanders.
The union’s former president Larry Cohen is playing an active role in Sanders’ campaign.
The endorsement was first reported on Twitter by NBC News’ Andrea Mitchell.

The endorsement is Sanders’ second national union endorsement, having earlier received the backing of National Nurses United in August and the American Postal Workers Union in November.
