Sanders makes extraordinary gains in Connecticut

Presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders has made huge gains in Connecticut, a newly released poll shows.

The Quinnipiac poll conducted earlier this month, and released on Tuesday, shows Bernie Sanders trailing Hillary Clinton by just 12 points.

The poll of registered Democrats shows support for Secretary Clinton at 37 per cent, and support for Senator Sanders at 25 per cent.

Support for Clinton has dropped dramatically since the last Quinnipiac poll conducted in March, which showed Clinton having a commanding lead of 38 per cent over Joe Biden. Since then, support for Sanders has grown by 23 per cent.
