Ahead of the state’s primary on March 10, Bernie Sanders will return to Michigan this weekend, holding two campaign rallies.
On Friday, Sanders will hold an evening rally at the TCF Center in Detroit. The event is open to the public, with doors opening at 5pm for a 7pm start.
On Sunday, Sanders will travel to Grand Rapids, where he will hold an afternoon rally at Calder Plaza. That event is slated to kick off at 12:30pm.
Sanders had earlier visited the Great Lakes State to join a picket line in solidarity with auto workers, as well as for rallies in Warren and Detroit.
Michigan is shaping up to be a must-win state for Sanders, after a challenging Super Tuesday. Sanders narrowly defeated Hillary Clinton in the state in 2016. It is one of six states to vote on March 10, along with Washington, Missouri, Mississippi, Idaho and North Dakota.
