Two new CBS News/YouGov polls released on Sunday show Democratic primary voters in Texas and California say they hold a positive view of socialism.
In the Lone Star State, 56 percent of respondents said they had a positive view of socialism, while just 37 percent said they viewed capitalism favorably.
Likely Democratic primary voters in California also said they like socialism. 57 percent said they held a positive view, compared to just 45 percent who said they liked capitalism.
Bernie Sanders is leading in the polls in both states. In California, he holds a 22 point lead over Joe Biden, while the margin is closer in Texas, just 4 percent.
The YouGov surveys of likely Democratic primary voters were conducted between February 27 and 29.
