Bernie Sanders’ campaign announced Sunday night that it had exceeded its goal of calling five million voters before the Iowa caucuses.
The campaign had set a target of five million phone calls between January 2 and the Iowa caucuses on February 3. By Sunday evening, volunteers for Sanders had made 5,350,000 phone calls.
The call target has now been revised upward to an ambitious 10 million calls, with the campaign directing volunteers to reach voters in California.
Sanders’ campaign is calling on supporters to join the effort. Volunteers can sign up online to make calls from home.
