With Jeremy Corbyn the newly elected leader of the U.K.’s Labour Party, Sanders calls for similar leadership across the world.
Perhaps the United Kingdom’s own version of Bernie Sanders, the self-described democrat socialist Member of Parliament Jeremy Corbyn has been elected to the position of leader of the Labour Party.
In a message sent to the Huffington Post on Saturday, Bernie Sanders praised the United Kingdom for electing him in a time of great wealth and income inequality throughout the world.
Apparently, Corbyn has been following Sanders’ campaign as well, admitting to having “great interest” in what Bernie is doing on the other side of the Atlantic.
