Sunday night’s debate between Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden will be held at CNN’s studios in Washington, without an audience. Here is how to tune in.
The debate will air exclusively on CNN in the United States and around the world, and on Univision. For those without a cable subscription, CNN is making a free livestream available on its website.
Beginning at 8pm Eastern, the debate will be moderated by Jake Tapper and Dana Bash from CNN, and Univision’s Ilia Calderón.
In accordance with CDC guidelines surrounding the coronavirus, CNN says the candidates’ podiums will be placed six feet apart.
For the first time, Sanders’ campaign will be live-blogging the debate on its website. The campaign has also announced it will livestream a pre-debate show with national press secretary Briahna Gray, and special guests including Naomi Klein and healthcare expert Michael Lighty.
It is the first debate to take place since before the South Carolina primary. The race has progressed a long way in that time amidst the coronavirus outbreak, severely limiting campaign activities for the candidates.
