Four different polls of Texas Democratic primary voters released on Sunday shows Bernie Sanders with a lead in the Lone Star State.
A Marist College poll of registered voters in the state gave Sanders his biggest lead of 17 points, polling at 35 percent. Joe Biden and Michael Bloomberg came distant runners up with 18 percent and 16 percent support respectively.
Marist also released a poll of likely primary voters. Sanders maintained his lead with 34 percent support, followed by Biden with 19 percent and Bloomberg with 15 percent.
The University of Texas at Tyler also conducted a poll in the state, showing Sanders in first place with 29 percent support. It has Bloomberg in second with 21 percent support, followed by Biden with 19 percent.
Sanders’ lead was the narrowest in a YouGov poll released Sunday. While Sanders came in first with 30 percent support, the poll showed higher top line support for Biden, at 26 percent. Elizabeth Warren came in third with 17 percent support, while Bloomberg was below the viability threshold on 13 percent.
An average of the four polls gives Sanders an 11 point lead in the state. Texas is one of fourteen states to vote on Super Tuesday on March 3.
