A Morning Consult poll released Thursday shows Bernie Sanders winning the biggest share of support from non-white voters of any candidate in the race.
Overall, Sanders leads the Democratic field by 10 points, with the Vermont Senator’s lead growing after his victory in the New Hampshire primary.
Among Hispanic voters, Sanders holds a 31 point lead over the next closest candidate, Michael Bloomberg. 48 percent said they support Sanders, while 17 percent said the same for Bloomberg. Joe Biden wins 13 percent support with Hispanic voters, while all other candidates register just single digit support.
Sanders has also significantly increased his support among black voters. While Joe Biden still leads, with 34 percent support, Sanders is only a few points behind at 30 percent.
While Sanders wins strong support from black and Hispanic voters, he also leads the field with white voters. 28 percent said they support the Vermont Senator, giving him a nine point advantage over Michael Bloomberg.
Sanders’ strong cross racial support gives him the best argument for the nomination going forward. While some momentum currently sits with Pete Buttigieg and Amy Klobuchar from victories in Iowa and New Hampshire, neither candidate has greater than single digit support among non-white voters.
