Bernie Sanders raised $34.5 million in the fourth quarter of 2019, more than any other Democrat running for president.

Former South Bend mayor Pete Buttigieg came closest, raising $24.7 million in the fourth quarter, nearly $10 million less than Sanders. Former Vice President Joe Biden raised $22.7 million.

While Elizabeth Warren is yet to confirm her totals for the quarter, the Massachusetts Senator said she was focused on hitting $20 million, less than the $24.6 million she raised in the third quarter.

Since entering the race in February, Sanders has raised a mammoth $96 million from more than five million donations, a record of any presidential campaign in history at this point in the cycle.

At the same point during the 2016 primary cycle, in a contest that was essentially between just Sanders and Hillary Clinton, Sanders’ campaign had raised $33 million.

Sanders’ $34.5 million haul for the quarter is nearly $10 million more than what his campaign raised in the third quarter.

The campaign said that the average donation was $18, with more than 1.8 million individual donors.
