Sanders gains ground as Bloomberg falls in post-debate poll

A new Morning Consult poll conducted after Wednesday night’s debate in Nevada shows Bernie Sanders gaining and Michael Bloomberg taking a hit.

Sanders finished a clear first in the national poll with 28 percent support, a two point increase since before the debate. Bloomberg finished second at 20 percent, seeing a three point dip in support following his debate performance.

Joe Biden held steady in third place at 19 percent, while Pete Buttigieg fell back slightly to 12 percent. Elizabeth Warren gained two points in the poll, tying for fourth place with Buttigieg. Amy Klobuchar has still been unable to break through, polling at just five percent.

Wednesday night’s debate in Nevada was watched by an audience of nearly 20 million.

The Morning Consult survey of 2,609 likely Democratic primary voters was conducted on February 20.
