Joe Rogan hits back at Democratic establishment over Sanders attacks

Popular podcaster Joe Rogan has hit back at efforts by the Democratic establishment after their criticism of Sanders for accepting his support and posting a video of the endorsement he made January 21.

Rogan reiterated his statement that he would likely support Sanders was based on the Vermont Senator’s consistency and sincerity, as well as his history of activism dating back to the civil rights movement.

He went on to critique establishment Democrats including Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton who had attempted to link past comments he had made about gay and trans issues, noting their own hypocrisy on the issue, including the fact Clinton only became a supporter of gay marriage in 2013. Rogan also stated that he himself had been misrepresented and restated his own support for the LGBT community.

Rogan concluded by noting how since the issue had first arisen Sanders support had if anything increased, with the Vermont Senator having surged in the polls in both key early states and nationally.
