Sanders leads in New Hampshire post-debate poll

Bernie Sanders remains in first place in New Hampshire in a new poll released following Tuesday night’s debate in Des Moines, Iowa.

23 percent of respondents to the Emerson Poll said that Sanders was their first choice.

Former South Bend mayor Pete Buttigieg held in second place, trailing Sanders by 5 percent.

Former vice president and Massachussetts Senator Elizabeth Warren were tied in third place with 14 percent support each. Support for Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar spiked to 10 percent following the debate.

Sanders holds a commanding lead of voters under 50, leading Warren and Biden in that demographic by more than 13 points.

The poll of 657 Democratic primary voters was conducted between January 13 and January 16.
