Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders has won the party’s caucuses in the crucial state of Kansas.
With roughly 90 per cent of the vote counted, the Kansas Democratic Party has announced that Bernie Sanders has won the Kansas caucuses. Full results are still to be announced.
Kansas has been a target state of the Sanders’ campaign. Clinton’s campaign said earlier this week that they believed Sanders would win the state.
Following Sanders’ victory, his campaign sent a fundraising email to supporters saying that they aim to reach a 5 million contribution milestone before Sunday night.
Results from the Louisiana primary and Nebraska caucuses are yet to come in.
