Sanders would win against Trump in landslide

If a general election between Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump was held today, Sanders would win in a landslide victory, a new poll shows.

Any questions of Sanders’ electability can now be put to rest, with a new CNN/ORC poll released today showing that Trump would be defeated if he were to go face-to-face with Bernie Sanders in a general election.

The poll showed that 53 per cent of registered voters who responded to the poll would vote for Sanders, while just 44 per cent said they would vote for Donald Trump.

In comparison, in a contest between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, the margin would be much less. 50 per cent said they would vote for Clinton, while 45 per cent said they would vote for Trump.

The poll had a margin of error of plus or minus 3 per cent.
