Bernie Sanders has been declared the winner of the Democratic presidential caucuses in the Gem State.

AP has projected Bernie Sanders will win the Democratic caucus in Idaho, with 100 per cent of the results now in.

Sanders defeated Hillary Clinton by 57 per cent. There 23 were pledged delegates at stake in tonight’s race.

CNN reported huge voter at caucus sites in Idaho and Utah, with one caucus precinct in Salt Lake City running out of ballot papers, resorting to an office printer to run off extra ballots.

Democratic primaries were held today in Arizona, Idaho and Utah as part of “Western Tuesday.”
