Support for Sanders at its highest yet

A brand new national poll of likely Democratic voters shows Bernie Sanders polling at his highest levels ever.

The NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll released this morning found that 37 per cent of Democrats now back Bernie Sanders, compared to 31 per cent in September. It also shows Clinton’s lead has shrunk by 12 points since that same September poll.

This morning’s poll puts Hillary Clinton in the lead, attracting support from 56 per cent of Democrats, down from 62 per cent less than two months ago. Support for Martin O’Malley has increased by 1 per cent since the last poll conducted by NBC/WSJ.

This fresh national poll comes on the same morning as a Bloomberg/Des Moines Register poll out of Iowa, which also delivered good news for Bernie Sanders’ campaign.
